DJ Manny aka Manuel Muniz

Originally hailing from San Juan, Puerto Rico, DJ Manny has long had an affinity for performance and a life long love affair with music. An accomplished and award-winning Austin artist, musician, and teacher, DJ Manny founded the DJ Dojo (music store and studio) to share his passion and knowledge with the music community. His music is sexy, fun, and energetic. DJ Manny never fails to drive the dance floor to the brink of losing it, expertly drawing in his audience with pulsating walls of bass.

He’s played for numerous sold out crowds on both coasts and internationally, performing with old school leaders like Afrika Bambaataa of the Zulu Nation, Prince, Bob Dylan, Hall and Oats to new school artist such as The Glitch Mob, Thievery Corp, Bassnectar, Passion Pit, Diplo, Peanut Butter Wolf, Girl Talk, Ghostland Observatory.

Locally, DJ Manny has been voted top 5 best DJ’s by the Austin Chronicle for five years running. He has been involved in numerous collaboration projects including Starlynx, Rockit, and Dubwise Int’l. His current project with international producer Claude9 called Los Bandidos Cosmicos is currently producing a full length EP slated for release in early 2011.
